OKLAHOMA Off – *9/5 Def – 7/1 49 Lettermen
TEAM THEME: REVERSE CALCULUS
The Sooners were the top team in the land in team passing efficiency in 2016, and return 99.4% of last year’s passing yards (read: QB Baker Mayfield), plus all five starting OL. Head coach Bob Stoops averages 10.50 wins per season, and is a major reason why Oklahoma has played in 18 straight bowl games. Unlike its usual second-half bumps in the road, the reverse was true last season when in OU’s first seven contests, opponents averaged 36.7 points and 475.9 yards. Over the last six outings, the Sooners held foes to an average of 19.7 points and 380.8 yards. As a result, the Sooners enter the 2017 season riding a nation's best 10-game win streak.
STAT YOU WILL LIKE: OU is the highest scoring football program of all-time, and its 7.5 yards per play in 2016 rank as 2nd most in school history.
