The early Dallas vs. Green Bay betting lines give the early advantage to the Cowboys, due an offense that has exploded over the first two games of the season. However, the Cowboys will head to Lambeau Field on Sunday night to face the Packers in a battle of NFC favorites that will be fiercely contested to the final whistle.

Dallas Cowboys at Green Bay Packers - September 21, 8:15 PM ET

The Cowboys escaped with a 41-37 shootout win at home over Philadelphia on Monday night, but they had overcome a lot of mistakes. Dallas committed ten penalties for 108 yards, two turnovers and sat through a second quarter in which the Eagles dropped 24 points on them. Tony Romo was 21-of-30 for 312 yards, three touchdowns and a pick, and Terrell Owens caught a pair of scores to put him at second behind Jerry Rice on the all-time touchdown-reception list. However, this Dallas-Green Bay matchup could be based on defense, and if the Cowboys play like they did on Monday night, they could be in for a long night at Lambeau.

The Packers flexed their own offensive muscle in a 48-25 whipping of Detroit on the road, but to be fair, the Lions are not defensive juggernauts. Aaron Rodgers continued to make fans feel better about Brett Favre’s exit by going 24-of-38 for 328 yards and three touchdowns, while Greg Jennings racked up 167 receiving yards. Despite giving up 25 points, the Green Bay defense was also in fine form, picking off three passes and returning two for touchdowns.

The Dallas vs. Green Bay betting lines is three points in favor of the Cowboys, who have won eight of their last ten against the Packers. The Cowboys’ last trip to Lambeau came in 2004, when they were hammered 41-20, and they will do their best to pressure Rodgers early, but the pivot has showed an amazing amount of poise in the pocket so far. This will come close to being a shootout, but the Packers’ defense will make the key stops when they need to. Bet on the Green Bay Packers to go to 3-0 and stake their claim in the NFC championship race with a win on Sunday night.
