Notes

This short but project-heavy piece was created after coming across some new found design resources and I instantly had an idea on how to utilise the photos/renders to animate fire in a stop motion look and feel.

Towards the end of the comp, I used the Gradient Wipe effect on the text layers to give that look of the fire flames background burning up the text layers.

I achieved the stop motion look and feel with the fire flames photos by importing 72 photos/layers into the Ae comp and applying Texture Hop (a preset that adds controls to animate image based textures).With Texture Hop in place on all of the layers, I adjusted the frame rate to 12fps (project comp was set at 30fps) and applied the Color Dodge opacity on all of the layers so that each can visually interact, giving that look of fire—quick and fast.
