When given any creative brief, the mind becomes a blank canvas for you to brainstorm your ideas. In my interpretation of this (very interesting) brief, I take the dreary, grey everyday world as my canvas, and visualise an alternate universe on its fabric. With an imagination so vivid, the false dimension seeps into the real world. @artbynxtxnix :)

This is truly a work of art. The bright colours paired with the fantastical, dream-like landscape contrasts the monochrome reality, causing the beautiful utopia to burst out of the page and appeal to the viewer. Furthermore, the fact that such a reality is held in the individual's hand shows that against popular belief, a much awaited and desired escape from the monotonous reality of the individual is well within their own grasp

Indeed colourful inspirations are needed to hold us up and keep the mind from fading into the grey we often find. Remarkably this piece features the hand holding up the alternate universe, depicting that effort is needed to contrast the norm.

I love the contrasting colours to show the different worlds. They really are different worlds when you stop to think of it. It is a true case of what is reality and what is imaginary.
