Artist statement

I'm Justin, your friendly neighborhood Art Director with a love for music, games, and sustainable fashion. I've worked on campaigns for brands like Sony Music, AriZona Iced Tea, Jack Daniel's, was a member of the Beats by Dre Black Creators Class of '22 - where I shot a short film for the brand, graduate of IDK x Harvard's No Label Academy '23, creator of ThriftFest - a festival for sustainable fashion, and..... I'm up to something huge! During the pandemic, ya boy created Blac-Man: The Most Dangerous Game In Amerikkka. What originally began as an art piece during the pandemic of my melanated version of Pac-Man, I TURNED INTO A REAL PLAYABLE GAME! Blac-Man gamifies the plight of the Black man in America, while using a fun icon to spread a powerful message. When I first created the Blac-Man game, I hosted a tournament at my college, and people loved it! After seeing it's virality and impact, I'm now inspired to fully launch Blac-Man and purse a large retro-activist venture: Melanated Arcade Games.
