I captured this photo at the beginning of fall in Montreal Canada. I had just lost both my parents in the space of a year and set about a period of travel in order to regain a sense of balance. As I was sitting on a defaced bench I noticed a fallen leaf which seamed to beautify the disordered surroundings. This epitomised for me the restoration and balance that can be found even amongst the chaos of grief and loss.
