Red Room Charli Botha

Martin's home belonged to his Grandparents, and as a child, he lived in a caravan with his parents in the garden. The house was passed down to them and then to Martin, where he lives alone. Curtains of ivy now decorate doorways, and cobwebs carpet the objects filling every room. Treasured possessions: dozens of albums, toys and train-sets are scattered in amongst hundreds of newspapers, empty bottles and food wrappers. These piles represent the reality of storing tangible objects like memories.
