This piece takes place in the far future, where humans cease to exist. While many fear the possibility that AI will eventually usurp humankind, I question if the non-existence of humankind would really be as horrible as people may think. If anything, I dream of a day that we are able to replace the repulsive, selfish, and ignorant humankind with a far kinder alternative. May we hope to build AI that brims with empathy, as shown in the painting of robots gleefully caring for their children.
