Artist statement
My project will be my most writing-heavy one to date. Writing has been a personal insecurity for me, and I intend to confront this challenge head-on. As an AAPI creator, choosing the right words and themes to express my emotions is paramount. I see this project as a form of therapy for both myself and my readers, who often share similar experiences. Zines are the perfect experimental medium for me to work with, and I hope this project will inspire other young creators to publish their work and see it in a physical format.
