<p>I am a visual designer pursuing a career in spatial design, driven by the belief that our environments can profoundly influence our emotions and actions. I see design as a powerful tool to foster connection and inspire optimism. This idea sprouted in my childhood, when I would tape tiny flowers to my parent’s dark walls in an attempt to decorate and make our tiny apartment feel "happier". This urge to beautify a space resurfaced during my time in nursing school, where I considered how painting the sterile, white walls could positively impact patients' feelings and contribute to their healing. After deciding to leave nursing school, I ventured into event planning where I was immersed by celebration and stimulating environments. This ultimately led me to explore design and a user's journey—allowing me to conceptualize and create work with a meaningful story. Throughout this journey, I've changed careers multiple times and developed a diverse array of interests in photography, production design, illustration, woodworking, sewing and more. I’ve learned to embrace being a serial hobbyist as it has aided my design practice through different creative lenses.</p>
