📆 Project plan & timeline30-Day Execution Plan for a Mobile Art Bus BusinessWeek 1:**Week 1: Planning and Preparation****Day 1-3: Business Concept and Research**- Define the mission and vision of the mobile art bus.- Research target audience, competitors, and market demand.- Identify potential partners and sponsors.**Day 4-5: Business Plan Development**- Draft a detailed business plan including objectives, strategies, and financial projections.- Outline services offered (e.g., art workshops, exhibitions, community events).**Day 6-7: Legal and Administrative Setup**- Register the business name and secure necessary permits and licenses.- Open a business bank account and set up accounting systems.- Outline key areas where capital will be allocated (e.g., vehicle, customization, art supplies, marketing, legal fees).Estimates for each expense: Refer to ‘ArtVenture Itemized Budget’ sheet (3rd Board of Round 2 Application Submission)**Week 2: Acquiring and Outfitting the Mobile Unit****Day 8-10: Vehicle Acquisition**- Search for and purchase or lease a suitable bus or mobile unit. - Ensure the vehicle meets all safety and regulatory requirements.**Day 11-13: Customization and Branding**- Design the interior layout to accommodate art activities and exhibitions.- Apply branding elements (logo, color scheme) to the vehicle’s exterior.**Day 14: Technology and Equipment**- Purchase and install necessary equipment (e.g., art supplies, display panels, seating).- Set up technology for digital payments, bookings, and marketing. Also ensure that the bus has stable internet access for social media live streams**Week 3: Building Relationships and Marketing****Day 15-17: Networking and Partnerships**- Reach out to local artists, schools, and community organizations for collaboration.- Secure partnerships with local businesses for sponsorships and joint events.**Day 18-20: Marketing Strategy**- Develop a marketing strategy including social media, website, and local advertising.- Create a few A/B tests on social media ads or promotional campaigns to see what resonates best with your audience. Content Creation: As content is a major part of marketing, we would ensure that we create ways to visually represent the bus on social platforms (creating video content or behind-the-scenes material could increase engagement).- Create promotional materials (flyers, brochures, social media content).**Day 21: Soft Launch Planning**- Plan a soft launch event to introduce the mobile art bus to the community.- Prepare invitations and coordinate logistics for the event.**Week 4: Launch and Operations****Day 22-24: Staff Training and Final Preparations**- Train staff or volunteers on customer service, safety protocols, and art activities.- Create ongoing development by implementing a system for feedback. Providing volunteers or staff with a small manual or guide about expectations and processes that can help standardize service delivery- Conduct a trial run to ensure all systems and processes are working smoothly.**Day 25-26: Soft Launch Event**- Host the soft launch event, gather feedback, and make any necessary adjustments.- Network with attendees and potential clients.**Day 27-29: Official Launch Preparation**- Finalize the schedule of events and activities for the first month.- Promote the official launch through all marketing channels.**Day 30: Official Launch**- Conduct the official launch event with a grand opening and special activities.- Begin regular operations and continue engaging with the community.Additional Considerations- **Financial Management:** Secure initial funding through loans, grants, or investors. Set up a system for tracking expenses and revenues.- **Insurance:** Obtain insurance for the vehicle, liability, and business operations.- **Sustainability:** Incorporate eco-friendly practices and materials in the mobile unit and art activities. Ensure research and development to minimize the carbon footprint of the mobile unit and its materials. Look into partnerships with companies as well.- **Feedback Loop:** Establish a system for collecting feedback from participants to continually improve services. (This plan provides a structured approach to ensure that all critical aspects are covered within the first 30 days of launching a mobile art bus business.)Strengths:Clear Breakdown: The plan is segmented into actionable weekly goals, providing a step-by-step guide to follow.Diverse Focus Areas: There are multiple essential aspects such as legal setup, vehicle acquisition, partnerships, and marketing.Balanced Timing: The timeline allows time for research, customization, and outreach, without feeling rushed.Key Details: Importance noted on insurance, financial management, and sustainability are included.Soft Launch: Having a soft launch event helps test the concept and refine it before going live with the official launch.Possible Plan Revision: Week 2: Acquiring and Outfitting the Mobile Unit: Customization and Branding: Extending the timeline slightly for branding and layout design, as customization (especially if we are working with third parties) might take longer than expected.

Building the brand ourselves (within the group) or exploring options among friends/family to reduce costs

Scaling Opportunities: Long-term scaling plans? Expanding to new locations, adding more mobile units, and offering more specialized workshops.During the 30 day #imagineWithPlaybook cohort, selected artists will asynchronously create together. Artists can be based anywhere- they will just be asked to submit weekly updates on their progress in-line with their proposed plan and timeline. Artists should have clear progress to show for this period, but the project can stretch on for longer afterwards. This timeline should outline the major milestones for your project during the 30-day #Imaginewithplaybook cohort. We understand plan can change, but a detailed timeline not only keeps you on track but also shows our judges that your project is feasible! As a reminder, the criterion for judging is: 1) Originality and creativity, 2)Personal growth, 3) Community impact, and 4) Presentation and feasibility.
