I entered an abandoned building and discovered a windowless room. It was utterly dark and smelly. Every inch was filled with objects, mostly used clothes. Most probably homeless people slept there. I started looking for as many shoes as I could to create this image. That completely unorganised space hid an unobvious beauty and countless traces of the past which kept coming. A man walked in and asked: "Do you live here?". I replied: " Now I do."

I love Monikas eye on the world. She makes me see it anew with all its quirkiness, hidden gems in dark and dusty corners, the light and the dark and in all the colours between that lies within each person.
