Christine Carico (Christy Carico) is an artist who creates environmental children's books and waste fashion to educate and inspire change. This is Christine Carico's 2024 Playbook Imagination Fund application, with a fun educational children's book, waste fashion art and other past work.
Artist statement
We create to express and invoke a sense of feelings in others. I believe that art has the ability to shape culture. Through creative work we can cultivate change. My waste fashion art directly coincides with my work for children's books by raising awareness about environmental issues. By being able to continue to create these works, change is going to come.
