Artist statement
This aerial photo series captures Bangladesh’s quiet resilience and layered beauty, revealing intimate moments of human struggle, tradition, and transformation. In Pabna, fishermen steer through an algae-filled river, their boats flowing through green veils that signify a deeper ecological shift. In Bogra, under umbrellas and the burning sun, women pick red chili peppers—symbols of spice and labor woven into daily life. Narayanganj becomes a living canvas, where rainbow-dyed fabrics are spread across open fields in vibrant, fleeting patterns. Along the Buriganga River, boatmen rest on their anchored vessels—their entire lives afloat, tethered to Dhaka’s currents. And in Brahmanbaria, a worker shields conical mounds of rice beneath giant bamboo hats to protect the harvest. Each image is a moment of stillness in motion, reflecting how tradition, labor, and adaptation shape this strange yet familiar landscape.
