Forced To Zoom In My Room Pilot Story

Proposal Playbook: Crafting the FutureWith our first book serving as a pilot, we’ve established a solid foundation for LeapForLearning. Now, with the grant's support, we're ready to build upon this foundation and create our second book in the Chloe's Series. The app is up and running, and the shoes are paving the way to fund more books, setting us up perfectly for this next level of storytelling.So, what’s next for LeapForLearning's thrilling adventure? We need more stories to ignite imaginations! I’m excited to bring a new, playful book to life. Picture this: our next story turns ordinary items like toothbrushes, floss, soap, and tissues into dazzling superheroes! 🦸‍♂️🦸‍♀️Imagine a brave Toothbrush with a sparkling cape, flying through the air to fight off mischievous germs. Picture Floss, sleek and agile, weaving through the tiniest crevices to ensure every tooth is clean. Envision Soap, with its bubbly superpowers, washing away villainous germs in a foamy explosion of cleanliness. And don’t forget Tissues, the gentle yet mighty hero, swooping in to save the day whenever a sneeze or sniffle strikes.Together, these heroic items will embark on epic quests to teach children about the wonders of hygiene and the importance of staying germ-free. Our story will turn everyday routines into thrilling adventures, making learning about health a fun and unforgettable journey for every child and caregiver around the globe. 🌍✨📚After the completion of the book, it will be animated into a video and translated into six languages: English, American Sign Language, Spanish, French, Hindi, and Mandarin. A QR code in the completed book will link directly to these animated, translated videos available on our app at <a href="https://app.leapforlearning.net" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" target="_blank">LeapForLearning</a>. This feature will emphasize the book's value and provide an engaging tool for children and parents to enjoy together.Tool/ActivityThe tool and activity I would like to incorporate into the Germ book is Mad Libs, and here’s why: Mad Libs encourages creativity, imagination, and interactive learning. By allowing children to fill in the blanks with their own words, it turns reading into a fun, personalized experience. This activity not only reinforces vocabulary and grammar but also makes storytelling more engaging for young readers, allowing them to become co-creators of the story. Incorporating Mad Libs into the book adds an element of play that deepens learning while making it an enjoyable activity for both children and their parents.Mediums:For LeapForLearning, I plan to utilize a variety of mediums to ensure our content reaches a broad and diverse audience. These include:<ul><li>Printed Books: Physical, hardcover books will remain a core medium, providing a tangible learning experience for children and caregivers.</li><li>Digital Books: E-books and PDFs will be available for easy access on various devices, allowing for a more flexible, on-the-go learning experience.</li><li>Videos: Animated videos will bring stories to life, making learning fun and engaging. These videos will be accessible through our app and website, with translations in multiple languages.</li><li>Mobile App: Our app will serve as a central hub for all LeapForLearning content, including digital books, videos, and interactive tools.</li><li>Interactive Activities: Games, quizzes, and interactive learning tools on our app will deepen engagement and encourage active participation from children.</li><li>Social Media and Website: We will use platforms like YouTube, Instagram, and our website to share content, updates, and additional learning resources, making it easy for parents, caregivers, and educators to stay connected.</li><li>QR Codes: Integrated into our physical books, QR codes will link directly to our digital content, providing a seamless experience that bridges the physical and digital learning worlds.</li></ul>These mediums will ensure our stories, lessons, and resources are widely accessible and engaging for children, parents, and educators alike.Where am I at with the project? The concept and mockups are complete, and the story is in its final stages of refinement. The characters are developed but still need to be illustrated from different angles for animation.What is still pending?<ul><li>Illustrations with Chloe and the superheroes</li><li>Video Animation</li><li>Finalizing the story</li><li>Localization into multiple languages</li><li>Publishing the app on Apple and Google Play stores</li></ul>FinancesThe funding will be allocated to the following tasks, all within a 30-day period:<ul><li>Animations</li><li>Illustrations</li><li>Publishing Hardcover book</li><li>Kindle Version</li><li>Localization into Hindi, ASL, Spanish, French, and Mandarin (with four translators)</li><li>Consultation with specialist (dental and doctor)</li><li>Writer/Co-writer collaboration</li><li>Subscriptions to three essential programs needed to create this content</li><li>Uploading the new story to the app</li><li>Publishing the app on Google Play and Apple App Store (not necessary but would love to make this happen)</li></ul>I am confident that I can accomplish all of this within the 30-day period.Here’s what you can expect from each LFL story that is created:Each LeapForLearning (LFL) story that is crafted will provide an engaging and educational experience, featuring rhymes that help children retain information and vivid imagery that fuels their imagination.The stories will cater to various learning styles, ensuring that every child—regardless of their preferred way of learning—feels connected to the content and can fully immerse themselves in the imaginative world created. Additionally, each book includes a related activity to further enrich the learning experience.We aim to connect with four primary learning styles:-Visual Learners: Colorful, dynamic illustrations bring the story to life.-Auditory Learners: The rhythmic language and read-aloud features ensure they can learn throughlistening.-Read/Write Learners: The written word offers a strong narrative for those who learn best by reading.-Kinesthetic Learners: Activities tied to the story allow for hands-on engagement, encouragingmovement and interaction.LFL stories plan to highlight diverse family structures to ensure that all children can see themselves represented. Families in our stories include:-Married parents, single parents, adoptive parents, and grandparents-Families navigating life challenges like inclusion, immigration, the loss of loved ones, or dealing withmedical or handicap issuesThe goal is to gently introduce children to characters facing various challenges in a lighthearted, warm way that makes reading enjoyable and engaging. Examples include:-Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorders (ADHD)-Auditory, Visual, and Sensory Processing Issues-Autism Spectrum Disorders-Body and Gender Dysmorphia-Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, and Dyscalculia-Executive Functioning Difficulties-Language and Communication Barriers (Expressive/Receptive Language Disorders)-Oppositional Defiance and other behavioral challenges-Physical/Intellectual Development issues-Social/Emotional Development hurdles Through these stories, we aim to create empathy,understanding, and awareness for the diverse challenges children face.To ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of the content provided, LFL will partner with leading professionals in various fields:-Early Childhood Education-Child Development-Child &amp; Family Psychology-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)-Occupational Therapy (OT)-Speech TherapySpecial Note: Thank You!Filling out this proposal has been an incredible experience. I must admit, there were times when I felt discouraged—leaving my job to start this company came with unforeseen challenges, including financial struggles. My sole intention is to make a difference in the world through the creations I’m developing. Behind the Scenes: My Work and DreamsOne of the dearest projects I hold close to my heart is LeapForLearning <a href="https://www.leapforlearning.net" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" data-link-auto="" target="_blank">https://www.leapforlearning.net</a> , which I developed from the ground up with the guidance of my advisor. I’m on a mission to bring stories to life through interactive, animated content that not only entertains but inspires. As a startup in its early stages, I am working hard to create a modern-day Peter Pan world where imagination has no limits for both children and caregivers. The stories are translated into multiple languages, transforming each learning moment into a global adventure.But the journey doesn’t stop there! Imagine a world where your shoes tell a story! In my latest project, I’ve created a fun and colorful collection of clogs called <a href="https://www.srportfolio.info/category/all-products" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" target="_blank">KLÅOG</a>, inspired by my mom, who’s a superhero Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH). She loves her comfy clogs, so one day, she asked me to design her a special pair—just for fun! And guess what? I thought, why not take this playful idea even further? So, I turned it into a creative adventure!Each pair of KLÅOG clogs is like a magic key. For every pair sold, we gift a free book to help fund LeapForLearning, sparking imaginations and making the world brighter, one story at a time. I officially launched these awesome shoes in early September 2024, blending fashion, fun, and purpose—creating a little magic with every step!Now, together, we’re stepping into a world where fashion meets adventure. With each KLÅOG step, LeapForLearning unlocks a story, fueling curiosity and opening the door to magical journeys—one pair of clogs and one book at a time!

From Vision to Production: A Tale of DedicationStory: <a href="https://www.leapforlearning.net/zoom" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" target="_blank">Forced to Zoom in My Room</a>Published in early 2023, this book follows our brave protagonist, Chloe, as she finds inventive ways to stay connected and creative while learning from home. The story explores themes of flexibility, innovation, and the magic of visual schedules, transforming overwhelming situations into manageable and exciting challenges.The spark for this book came during the 2019 pandemic, a time when parents and teachers faced a huge gap—trying to support kids learning from home with limited resources. I saw a need for tools that could bridge this divide, making online learning more structured, engaging, and, most importantly, fun! I envisioned Forced to Zoom in My Room as that bridge, helping both kids and adults navigate this new digital world with ease and imagination.To bring this vision to life, I sought the counsel of a fantastic group of friends, each an expert in their field. With their guidance, we turned brainstorming sessions into creative playdates, collaborating and bouncing ideas off each other. Consulting with them every step of the way turned my LeapForLearning project into a vibrant community effort, where creativity flowed freely and every suggestion made the story shine even brighter.In developing Forced to Zoom in My Room, I wore many hats: Co-Author, App Designer/Lead Developer, and Creator. Each role allowed me to shape the project, ensuring it met the needs of families adjusting to the new normal.With this initial story, I’ve been able to build the LeapForLearning community <a href="https://www.leapforlearning.net/community" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" target="_blank">join us here!</a>, lay the foundation for our app <a href="https://app.leapforlearning.net" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" target="_blank">explore it here!</a>, and introduce new characters.
