On my most recent trip, I used the United app to check in on my phone, which made getting my boarding pass incredibly quick and easy. Security screening was equally efficient, and I passed through security in less than 15 minutes thanks to the efficient setup at Airside A and the availability of TSA PreCheck. TSA agents were friendly and well-managed lines made what can sometimes be a frustrating process surprisingly easy.

Lounge and Waiting Areas

The United Airlines gate area has plenty of comfortable seating with charging stations available if you have time before your flight. Although United does not have its own lounge at TPA, there are great food and beverage options nearby, including cafes, grab-and-go places, and sit-down restaurants. I had a leisurely coffee while catching up on emails prior to my flight, and the free Wi-Fi was dependable and quick.
