Project Proposal: Nimbus #2

Nimbus is a physical artifact and a web museum of original poetry, prose, photography, painting and music.

Nimbus

Released in 2020, Nimbus # 1 is a collection of work on intimacy, distance, and closeness. In the first call, Nimbus accepted all media, including literary (poetry, prose, experimental); visual; time-based arts (song, film); and immersive arts.Rather than a rigid definition of "art," Nimbus seeks matter that exists in excess: work done out of passion, protest, or unanswerable necessity. Drafts, ephemera, black sheep all encouraged.A Nimbus issue is not a finished product but a processional structure that nudges the pieces towards their future versions. For writers, Nimbus is an opportunity to be in revisive dialogue. For readers, it is a site of curated reading–a place for discovery of connection and meaning between pieces, across genres.
