puri [풀이] zine is a dismantling of colonialism, labor exploitation, racism, and genocide through the lens Korean history modern, ancient, domestic, and diasporic.

puri [풀이]  zine is meant to be a highly accessible and easy to read entry point into the important and pertinent topic of Asian history, which I believe is understudied, especially in the West. The style of the zine is meant to be inviting, to look more like an art book than a book of essays, with relatively short written pieces interspersed with illustrations. While Puri [풀이] Zine is not academic work, it is carefully researched, with citations, and easy to find references to scholarly or otherwise reputable sources. I believe this to be important especially now with the overload of information, and false information available in the major channels where people go to learn (social media, google search, and wikipedia).
