Founded in 2017, Caminos is an immersive; one year long paid internship empowering Austin-area Teens to carve their own path in the creative arts. Students work alongside Emma S. Barrientos-Mexican American Cultural Center professionals on a variety of community oriented activities, including but not limited to cultural events, hosting conversation circles, participating in local art projects, and more!Having worked with Caminos since 2020, I have been contributing to program with designs for conferences, social media campaigns, printed marketing materials, and more. Along with that, I've been able to lead design-oriented workshops with the teens, aid in the program's daily organization, as well as play a part in behind the scenes admin (emails, leading meetings, timesheets, budgeting, etc.)www.instagram.com/atxcaminosAbout CAMINOSAustin's Emma S. Hosted by the Elisabet Ney Museum (https://www.theney.org/eventsarchive) Community Art Bash attendees experienced a culmination of events including the opening of the exhibition Breaking the Mold while also be a part of additional interactive one-night projects taking the shape of an installation, a performance, a musical performance, a guided walk, or other creative iterations reflecting local artist’s ideas and the connections between the historic environments in which they are presented. Inspired by Elisabet Ney's history, and the feminist-spirit of the event, I was tasked to direct the event's identity as well as design - from social graphics to event signage.#environmentaldesign #posters #socialmediacampaign

A website and mobile website redesign for the Mexican Cultural Institute of San Antonio. The Institute, while affiliated with the consulate, can often be confused to provide the same services. This redesign exercise reimagines the Institutes site to be user-friendly in it's navigation, clear in it's purpose, and modernized for current users. The website also translates to Spanish for Spanish-speaking folks looking to benefit from the site's various programs and exhibits.Current Mexican Cultural Institute of San Antonio website:https://icm.sre.gob.mx/culturamexsa/index.php

PUNK NEVER DYED: A Hair Dye Brand Founded by a Latine punk music fan and practiced at-home hair colorist, PUNK NEVER DYED started out of a dream to provide hair dyes that not only are derived from natural, safe to use ingredients, but that also uplift members of punk culture that have been overlooked for decades: Latine/BIPOC punk bands, such as "Alice Bag Band", "Manic Hispanic", "Los Crudos", and more!PUNK NEVER DYED is a brand that looks to pay homage to the old in a still thriving scene while also helping you keep your hair looking incredibly edgy, and incredibly healthy.

"You've Always Belonged" is a hypothetical campaign project, designed by Nilmarie Gonzalez-ugarte. It holds space for BIPOC Queer youth all around the world who have known what it’s like to feel isolated in their intersectional identities by seeking to highlight Queer & Trans BIPOC (QTBIPOC) history and remind folks that there are spaces where they belong, in all their BIPOC queer joy, and that there always have been.Photo Sources:https://www.itsnicethat.com/features/chantal-regnault-voguing-and-the-house-ballroom-scene-of-new-york-city-1989-92-photography-281021www.instagram.com/chantalregnaultphoto https://artsandculture.google.com/project/ballroomhttps://madremezcal.com/blogs/news/muxe-the-work-of-nelson-morales Estrella Vazque, Muxe, Vogue Mexico, December 2019Fun Links:https://www.vanvoguejam.com/ballroom-historyhttps://soulellis.com/writing/tdc2021/

This was so fun considering this project was for my family, I loved designing and seeing everything come to life in real time!
