I’m Kanna, and I’m a multidisciplinary Igbo-Nigerian visual artist based out of Toronto with a unique approach to linework and gestural imagery. My artwork fuses movement, playful experimentation, Igbo inspiration, and mystery to express imaginative tales that are full of mood and feeling. I explore the relationship between spirit and organic practice, the conversation between conscious and spontaneous occurrences, and the coexisting—and occasionally conflicting—interaction between an entity's aesthetic and symbolic qualities.
