Hello! My name is Jacob Kelly and I host the podcast Artwell. Artwell is on a mission to inspire creators to make great art. I do this by studying a different famous artist every season, sharing I learned, then interviewing experts and collaborators of that artist before concluding with a season finale where we dive deep into 2-3 key lessons.

Before Artwell, I hosted the podcast My Social Life where I interviewed successful content creators to learn how they grew on social media. My Social Life became a top 3% global podcast and was named by Business Insider as one of 12 podcasts that creator economy insiders use to help them understand where the industry is heading. Through My Social Life I received the opportunity to develop and host a show for Creator Now, an education platform for aspiring YouTubers.

The idea for Artwell was born out of my time spent in the creator economy. After spending half a decade interviewing creators, it felt like most of them weren't looking back and studying the past, they were looking left and right at their peers and copying what they were doing. It felt like we were heading to a place where everything felt the same because everyone was copying everyone who was copying everyone else.

My mission as mentioned, is to inspire to make great art, to do it well, and to put beautiful things into the world... not another retention hacked, cracked out video designed to numb your audiences brain enough that they don't click away.
