Artist statement

When the world slows down, what do you see? I see a metal fencepost bent out of shape. I see its rusty base, nearly floating in space. I see a round metal lantern on top of a brick wall. The bulb still glowing in the daylight. I see a pipe coming out of a wall, slightly misaligned. I see shadows, reflections, materials. I see textures, a story being, traces of humanity. I see someone's good thought. I see visual metaphors, juxtapositions, ambition and ideals. I see good intent, I see stories. I see myself.
