Artist statement

In a world flooded with noise and movement, there exists an overlooked silence—a quiet tension woven into the everyday lives of people, often unnoticed but deeply present. My portfolio Hidden in Plain Sight invites viewers to pause and see the unseen: the resilience of a mother shielding her baby with plastic during monsoon rain; the solitude of a man navigating toxic waste; the silent harmony between humans and landscapes shaped by disaster, displacement, or routine survival. As a visual artist from Bangladesh, my work centers on capturing fleeting, intimate moments—often in communities impacted by climate change, poverty, and migration. I am drawn to the emotional depth found in mundane spaces: the rail station where a woman sleeps under plastic in the pouring rain, the distant flood shelter that becomes home, or the innocence of children fenced behind iron gates during a flood crisis.
