Project statement
Womanly Magazine provides accessible health information to women and non-binary people through visual and literary art. We address critical gaps in health literacy that impact marginalized communities, particularly people of color, LGBTQ+ individuals, and low-income folks. Through a range of work—including our print magazine, educational events, films, and campaigns—we have reached over 500,000 people to date. By blending art and education, we make complex health topics—such as reproductive justice, mental health, and preventive care—engaging and easy to understand. Our long-term goal is to reduce health inequities in by making healthcare information accessible through art and programming. We seek to ensure that everyone, regardless of background, has access to the information and resources needed for a healthy, empowered life.
