Imagine with Playbook in 30 Days ConceptIn 30 Days I will build the Earthseeds: (Views) of the Living website that will be a virtual gallery, digital zine, print store, and resource page that precedes the physical exhibition of (Views) in Omaha, Nebraska. This site will co-locate images with writings and resources created during 2020-2024 that demonstrate visions of Hope through alignment of People, Place, and Planet. It will connect visitors to the photo subjects and the lands they are in, as well as tie-in information about Octavia Butler and her prophetic novel, Parable of the Sower. This website will serve as the springboard to community engagement that revolves around a traveling exhibition of photographs that also features spoken word performances, discussions, and presentation of the Climate Action and Resilience Plan for the City of Omaha. I will draw the connection between aspirational photography, dystopian speculative fiction, and actual climate action policy that is being developed so people can see where they fit into Our Future. All in-person activities during the exhibitions will be recorded and archived on the website. This project will feature collaboration with local groups such as Conservation Nebraska, RegeNErate Nebraska, Benson First Friday, Fontenelle Forest, and Wild Roots People’s Clinic, and several Indigenous artists, herbalists, and spiritual healers.

Let It Flow From Our BodiesLike Rivers and StreamsJuices and CreamsLaughter and DreamsAll made of Playful Banter and Soulful CanterI wish upon a star from a top a hill so farFrom the ground that I touch the skyAnd paint colors on the breeze that brings my mind to easePeace and calm and hopefulness pleaseMeet me in limbo where the children play with old corpsesAnd make new lives from the fruit of the apple treeThey say knowledge comes from thereAnd by theyI mean the SerpentBlessed be the FruitA bite of the apple that fell far from the treeBut never from it’s shadowAs the sun set in the old west and the moon rose in the new eastLeaves and seeds make a ring on the groundForming an alter of the generations that precede and followThat sweet fruit though, is not hollowFull of life and colorSkin gleaming in celestial lightThere is always more to see than sightI found a place beckoning my beginning and I criedTears so juicy they overflowed and watered dormant seedsThose seeds became sprouts whose roots took new routesIn the soil and the subtle, through the concrete and the rubbleWish me more pleasantries as the flower is kissed by the beesBeckoning the beginning of fresh, blesséd fruitAs I await my own ArrivalI think about the many paths that led me to where I amYou were there for so much of it, holding my handI dreamt of the days I could open my eyes and see the love of my lifeSomeone who gets me deeper than any oceanic fathomA person who Loves bigger than Space could possibly musterWhen I look at you, I’m never Flustered, just coo-ed into KissesBy the Moonbeams and her gentle star crossed French tipsThe way your curls get tighter as you get brighter, makes me whole bodyWiggle and giggle with the cutest tickle dancing across my skinYours, I can still smell no matter how many days its beenWarm, sunglazed, and sparkling with cacao and shea butterI knew you were the one when you met my Mother and she couldn’t stop smilingThere are so many ways for us to be together and I want to explore every single oneLimits? We know none! Only the few that come when we name our boundaries.I appreciate that so much, and your kindest apologies when they come out.You are always so kind, courteous, sweet, gracious, and beauty-full.This journey is about how we grow as ourselves and together. It’s proof that wherever we go, we bring the WeatherRain, Lightning, and ThunderThe Web knows our signature, signed with Blood for all those generations.sI am pulled into a celestial gravitation, a notion I’ve known since that time we entered Time-Space together - and we chose to Forget Everything - just to Remember that we deserve we each other and all the blessings that come our way.Do I recount every moment?Do I write it all down?I could review where I am from the Perspective of SunflowerA depth of death that would inform several chapters.
