What I am inspired byTracing my sources of inspiration had always been a bit of a puzzle. It wasn’t until I stepped away from my biggest muse that I realized the answer was right in front of me: my roots. My hometown of Chennai (Tamil Nadu, India) is a treasure trove of inspiration. Every interaction is a story waiting to be told:🎨 My grandmother’s effortless daily mandalas🎣The lively banter from women selling fish at the coastal market, tackling gentrification with humor.🍵The captivating stories shared by the neighbor auntie’s house help, offering insights into human nature.As I venture out into the world, my creative practice keeps me anchored to that vibrant spirit that shaped who I am. It’s a beautiful reminder of where I come from, fueling my journey as I explore new horizons.
