I want to hold space for myself and others to share everything related to life. Included but not limited to how we work through difficult emotions and feelings, lessons we’re learning, mindsets that we want to change. This is a self-development project and also a community event. I aim to hold in person events in San Francisco with programming that helps people explore their relationship with themself while also connecting to like minded humans on a similar path. A space to explore. Activities at these events would include space for mindfulness, yoga, journaling, connecting through conversations and more.I will write about my story to connect deeper with myself, create videos to connect with others, and plan in-person events to fulfill this project that’s been in my heart for the past few years. Although not a “hard” skill, the act of authentically sharing about yourself online is frightening to me. However I know that like exercise, the more I do it, the stronger that creative muscle becomes. I want to improve my filmmaking and storytelling skills, and pushing myself to share online will help me become a better artist. I’ll also learn how to facilitate group conversations with people in person through these events. I’ve planned events for corporate trade shows before so I have a general understanding on this process. I also have over a year of experience teaching yoga to people. This is my first time creating an event for myself and for a community though. I draw inspiration from everything around me, specifically people that have the courage to put themselves out there, allowing others to see them. This project is an opportunity to be seen by others and finally see myself.

Jhoanna is a dreamer & creative that is passionate about learning to love herself and showing others how to do the same. She became fascinated with human behavior and mental health early on in her life-- diving deep into rabbit holes about psychology in order to learn more about herself and help understand why she wasn't happy with her life. Her current 9-5 gig is marketing for a nonprofit organization. She's also a certified yoga teacher, and loves to help people learn to tune into their own bodies. She is a storyteller that enjoys writing, creating videos, and having meaningful conversations about life with people in person. She hopes to create intentional events both online and IRL.
