People who write down their goals, tasks, or information are up to 42% more likely to achieve or remember them, and studies also show that writing down what you're grateful for can increase your happiness and decrease depressive symptoms, which is why journaling is so powerful!I feel that many existing journals lack a sense of personalization—while they may offer prompts, they miss an opportunity to engage people in a more interactive way. My vision is to create a journal that not only sparks ideas but also helps users take actionable steps toward realizing them. By designing a fun, vibrant, and customizable journaling experience that makes people feel like they can walk through moments in their life through creative documentation. I want to help people enhance self-reflection so that they're driving their own journaling process, rather than heavily relying on the journal prompts. The inspiration fund would help me bring this idea to life and help my translate my graphic design styles into print!

Hi there! I'm Geena, a senior student at UC Berkeley studying data science and business administration.My journey with design as a passion vs. career has been complicated, but I do know that when I design I feel the most myself - it's one of the few activities where hours can pass by without me noticing! Outside of work, I'm always creating through design, whether it's for my art instagram (@indigosquash), freelance jobs, student organizations, or just for decompressing. My designs are filled with illustrations, graphic elements, and fun fonts that reflect my personality and creativity.
