hi, i'm @magneticspacebubble (aka Sophie Capshaw-Mack), a neurodivergent experimental artist. i hope you love my Imagination Fund Proposal for \ i hold a jar of galaxies / as much as i do! this project is all about embracing creative catharsis + personal liberation as a means of honoring and celebrating my inner child.

my artist statement: "Guided by my neurodivergence, I investigate the nature of consciousness through my multidisciplinary art practice. I approach the creative process as a simultaneous expression of play and philosophical inquiry, viewing my art as ever-evolving vessels for exploration and connection. Ultimately, I value this entire process of creation as an inherent art form in and of itself – even more so than the individual outputs that society deems ‘works’ of art. Fundamentally, I believe that the art I am creating comes first and foremost in the form of thoughts, processes, and curiosities. The tangible outputs are simply by-products to birthing and inhabiting such divergent ways of thinking. With creativity as my preferred method, I gravitate toward the lesser-explored intriguing conceptual realms that challenge ingrained notions of hegemonic domination, binary-thinking, and anthropocentrism. Through my art, I aspire to help cultivate greater levels of open-mindedness and compassion for all."
