This video will be a performance of a reproduced version of this songVIBE KEY WORDS:Obsessive, Melodramatic,MESSAGE OF SONG:It's a regretful song thinking about the person that you let walk out of your life. Reminicing the past and hoping for a chance that they would come back.KEY LYRICS:"I play it so cool, I’m sick of pretending!Like I Dont miss you, I hate that this ended""Cuz I’m ready Wanna make it workLet my guard down""The way I feel inside Why try to deny it "LOCATION IDEA:This video will take place most likely in a content studio and at common date locations around DC (record stores, cafes, movie theaters etc...).CONCEPT:Every time I go to one of the locations theres a mannequin head to symbolize that you spent time with the ex there. There a myriad of melodramatic shots like picking petals off of roses in a "loves me loves me not ". The last shot of the video you see that there a a ton of mannequin heads everywhere to represents the different memories all over flowing. This song in the short film will shoot some elements on a camcorder, to give of nostalgic vibes to represent the good times of the past relationship. This whole video will be filmed with a camcorderCOSTUME:Something casual. Most likely the denim skirt I made and a top

3. Over You

For my project I want to bring together all my creative mediums to make a visual album.I have explored all of my creative outlets individually but rarely all together. This visual album will weave together my interest in videography, creative directing, dancing and costume design, seamlessly with my music. This project will push me because it will be my biggest multi media project to date.Living in the DMV area, it is not seen as a hub for creativity. New York and LA are seen as the spots for that. But I disagree. In the past year living in MD, after I moved home from graduating music business school, I have encountered some of the most incredible creative minds. This project will give me an opportunity to not only shed a light on my own creativity but on the work of others. Each song will have a different type of visualDizzy- VisualizerAgain- Live Performance AcousticOver You- Reproduced version performanceLMR- Music VideoHappy Ending- lyric video visualizerSongs like "Again" on the EP will be shot very intimately with just myself on the piano in one room. While "Love Me Right" will be the most large scale shoot with multiple locations and dancers.I am asking for a $10,000 to carry out this project. The bulk of this money would go towards hiring a videographer/editor for the the film, as well as to rent out locations.Down below I have mapped out the vibe, visuals, storyline, and location ideas for each song in the sub boards

My Project Proposal

This video will be an acoustic live performanceVIBE KEY WORDS: Intimate, Raw, SimpleMESSAGE OF SONG:This song is about pulling back in a relationship because you are afraid about messing it up.KEY LYRICS:"I know myself I would just lose someone else""When everything’s going wellThat’s when I’m scared as hell""Can’t stay thru the thick of it"LOCATION:At my piano at homeCONCEPT:The video will mainly be clips of me playing the piano and sing. With a lot of close up shots showing off my emotions. Shots will also include me in different parts of the room like the red couch journaling and overall really intimate moments. Song will open with shot looking into the piano room, similar to the picture, as I go and sit down at the piano. Then the camera walks into the room and starts off with a tight shot of me playing and singingIt will be shot on a mix between a cannon camera and a camcorderCOSTUME: Black leather gown, lot's of gold and pearl handmade jewelry and heels

2. Again

This video will be a lyric videoVIBE KEY WORDS: Honest, ReflectiveMESSAGE OF SONG:This song is about looking back at how far you have come and knowing though you aren't where you want to be, things will still work out.KEY LYRICS:"I’m not perfect I’m working To make myself proud""I’ve been through things that nobody knowsFacing my fears all on my own""Been through some bad times But I’ll be alright "CONCEPT:For the final chapter in the visual album I want the lyric video to look like credits rolling at the end of the movie

5. Happy Ending

For this video it will be a visualizerVIBE KEY WORDS:Hot Mess, All Over the Place, Chaotic, Stir Crazy MESSAGE OF SONG:This song talks about feeling anxious for the future and feeling like your going confused and crazy. Written on the heels of my college graduating it needs to encapsulate the "wtf is going on" of early adulthood.KEY LYRICS:"How the hell do I get myself up off the groundWhen my whole damn world is crashing down""I’m tired of spinning round and round""Twisted lullaby"LOCATION IDEA:My bedroomCONCEPT: The whole concept of the intro video is that it's late at night and I'm going stir crazy in the house. There will be instruments all over the sitting room as if I'm making the song in my head late at night (over head shots like inspo pic 4). I'm running in the kitchen making an elaborate cake with rollers in my my hair, then going into the dining room to devour it. And just doing every crazy thing one would do in the middle of the night when they can't sleep. It will be shot on a mix between a cannon camera and a camcorderCOSTUME: Cheetah print pajama set, black long robe, jewelry and kitten heels

Jordyn Tareaz - Imagination Fund Proposal

Hello! My name is Jordyn Tareaz and I'm a multi disciplinary artist.Though my main mediums include singing, songwriting and producing, I'm also a creative director, clothing designer, videographer/video editor, graphic designer, dancer and content creator. Being a musician has allowed all of my creative interests to seamlessly come together to create the world that my music lives in. As a pop musician my influences come from all the greatest pop divas who came before me and elements found in alternative and rock music. My visual aesthetic can be describes as where glamour meets grunge. I pull from elements of old Hollywood fantasy combined with harsh realities of today. All of those this have led to create my biggest work to date, my debut EP "It's Not Like The Movies".The project captures the multifaceted journey of self-discovery and inner growth, portraying the quest for personal fulfillment. Listen to the EP HERE or with the files below (Follow along with lyrics attached below). This EP was written, produced, and engineers entirely by women. This is extremely uncommon in the music industry as according to a USC Annenberg study in 2022 only 3.4% of producers in the music industry are women, and only 14% of songwriters are women.Through crafting the creative for the project I also worked with a 3 different female photographers to carry out visions that I have creative directed and styled. As a creative my goal is to showcase to everyone, but especially other black women, that there is no limit in what you can achieve. You should always feel empowered to unapologetically yourself, create from a place of truth, and show the world al sides of yourself.

My Past Work

This video will be a full blown music videoVIBE KEY WORDS:Beauty Queen, Girls Night Out, SexyMESSAGE OF SONG:This song is the most provocative off of the EP. It is an upbeat and danceable track that is all about unlocking your most confident self.KEY LYRICS:"Be your everything if you love me right""I know I’m the one you’ve been praying for Got everything you’ve been waiting for"LOCATION IDEA:I'm still fleshing out the ideas for the location of this song, but it will most likely be shot on the streets of DC at night. The essence of the song has a going out with your friends after a breakup vibe. It'll be shot with scenes going throughout the city, dancing in the alleyways and pilling into cars.CONCEPT:5 friends (myself and the rest of the 4 dancers) on a night out. Doing the already choreographed LMR dance though the streets and we'll turn the 507 event DC location to look like it's a club. And it will be big dance shots there and we'll get extras for the video as well to fill the spaceCOSTUME:Everyone will be dressed to the nines. Furs, heels, jewelry. Everyone will look fabulous and like the life of the party. We will utilize the clothes we own, thrift, and making things for this video.
