Playbook Brand Guidelines

Our logo lockup should always be surrounded by a minimum margin of clear space. In this example, the width of the letter K is equal to ✖. A margin equivalent to ✖ is drawn around it to create the minimum clear space. In very large scale uses of the wordmark, the clear space can go down to 1⁄2✖.

Playbook was created to give creative work the home it deserves—whether you’re a solo designer or a global brand. For too long, creatives have relied on cluttered, generic file systems that were never built for the type of work they do. Traditional DAMs were made for rigid processes and slow-moving teams. Our primary brand color is Punch Red. When paired with our core palette, it provides an arresting combination of refinement and quirk.

Playbook’s brand comes alive on Instagram with the same polish, personality, and playfulness found in our product. From community events like Hidden in Plain Sight to our $100K Imagination Fund, we use gradients, hand-drawn elements, and our signature typefaces to turn announcements into creative moments.

Our secondary typeface, Victor Serif, is a modern and refined serif that elevates our brand.

We build deliberately, iterate constantly, and let the product speak. Our brand reflects that: polished yet playful, high-performing yet warm. Our wordmark has been crafted to feel stable and supportive, while maintaining a sense of quirk and playfulness. The double slanted O's are a nod to the double thumbs up. They communicate a forward and upward trajectory.

COLOR AND CONTRASTColor is used intentionally: soft backgrounds, bold accents for action. We avoid oversaturating the interface. Instead, we use color to guide—not overwhelm—the user.

To effectively communicate this continuous pursuit of creating only the best, we need to practice it at all touchpoints. That is why we have defined our building blocks and how to use them so anyone can successfully create valuable and consistent brand experiences.

Our symbol is always used in Black to mirror the essence of a simple drawing. To ensure readability and contrast, the symbol size is adjusted based on the color of the background.

NOTE ON THE GUIDELINESA brand guideline is never final. This an evolving document and we as a company and designers (hopefully) become wiser over time, slightly adjusting how we visualise our brand. Major changes will not happen overnight but do revisit from time to time to keep up to date with the current good examples and practices.
