Think Infinity Train, The Owl House, the Cartoon Network shutdown, Netflix following the trend of gutting its in-house animation team to outsource and exploit insultingly low wages for overseas workers, and countless other examples. People want more films crafted with heart and intention. They want more opportunities for artists to create this content and be treated responsibly.However, creating an animated film is a huge endeavor - perhaps the startup equivalent of launching a product to millions worldwide - except without the seed money that startups have numerous channels of acquiring. The arts are so often separated from the kinds of financial and systemic support you find in other fields, such as angel investors or Y Combinator Incubators. As if indie animation wasn't already hard enough to fund!☆ Let's Talk About Impact ☆As artists, we shape the media that influences beliefs and worldviews. A WLW Asian-American story about two girls navigating cultures they’ve never felt part of is important for diversifying representation and offering a narrative many people can find themselves in. It gives us the opportunity to promote understanding, acceptance, and appreciation for these marginalized identities so we can create a more inclusive and compassionate society.At our core, we're a team of relative youngsters in the animation industry who share a lot of the community's recent frustration with studios and mainstream media. Since big distribution houses won't give us jobs, we've decided to try making some ourselves. This grant would take us one step closer to creating more opportunities for artists and getting more high-quality, meaningful animation out there..・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.

✧ Who is Studio Adore? ✧We're an indie animation studio run by two 20-somethings set on pushing the boundaries and potential of indie animation and unique, diverse storytelling!
