Paul Cybulska Street Photography — First Rays of Sunshine
First Rays of Sunshine is a Berlin street photography series by Paul Cybulska (PaulPictures) that shows the city in the first sunlight of the year, where light and shadow transform ordinary street scenes. It was entered in Playbook's 2025 Photo Competition, “Hidden in Plain Sight.”
Artist statement
This series tells of the magic of everyday life. It shows my view of the city in the first sunlight of the year. The interplay of light and shadow transforms ordinary street scenes into extraordinary moments that capture the soul of the capital — fleeting, vibrant and full of contrasts.
