Artist statement
He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not tells a complex story through simple, everyday imagery. A woman tends to her flowers while a man shovels dirt. The springtime scenes are beautiful and bright, but a darker story lies hidden in plain sight. A vibrant red is dotted over the garden, like petals plucked from a flower. Does he love me, or does he not?
