Luca Antonucci Imagination Fund Application — Home Video
Luca Antonucci runs Colpa Press, a San Francisco publishing practice and imprint for artist books and archival projects on local history. This is Luca Antonucci's 2024 Playbook Imagination Fund application for Home Video, a photo book made with a color video printer from estate sale photos and home video stills.

Artist statement
I’m proposing to make a book of photographs titled Home Video . This artist book will be a sequence of images I have been producing for the past year using a color video printer, a device that prints photographs from an analog video source like a VHS or video still camera. The publication will be a combination of photographs I have taken at estate sales (using the video still camera) and stills taken from home videos, finished on the color video printer. This book will attempt to capture an intimate space while excluding any people, recognizable landmarks, or subjects. The images describe private, ambiguous spaces and leave space for the viewer to project a narrative. The book will include an essay by Sarah Hotchkiss.
