NFT Murals

I was challenged to explain the runway concept, managing both the copy and design for this organic Instagram publication aimed at a B2B audience.I focused on making it accessible to a broader audience, keeping it relatively simple. I drew inspiration from 80s film posters.

Will your company survive

I had the honor of working alongside six other talented designers at Platzi on an NFT mural that represents our culture, creativity, and passion for learning. This collaborative piece was a tribute to the diverse perspectives within our community. With the profits from the NFTs, we provided 10 scholarships to Platzi students in Latin America, helping them continue their education and growth.I got to work on the fragments 1 "Planting" and the fragment 6 "SuperCat". The funniest thing was that SuperCat started being considered Platzi’s unofficial mascot, even though that was never the intention.

Never stop learning

ComfyUI has been one of the most flexible, powerful, and efficient tools I’ve explored. Despite its steep learning curve, working on custom workflows and testing the latest AI models has been a valuable skill to develop.In addition to this, learning how to efficiently prompt Black Forest Flux models, and how to train LoRAs has been a great combo.

On the paid side, Midjourney and Krea have been my go-to tools. Mastering both and mentoring teams on their use has made me an advocate for their potential—not just in generating high-quality visuals, but also in streamlining creativity. By integrating these tools effectively, teams have sped up ideation and enhanced overall productivity.Below are four assets I created for a Midjourney Masterclass, along with a collection of test outputs from Krea’s real-time image generation tool and the ComfyUI Upscaler

Lately, I’ve been interested in the power of photo restoration. My workflow is simple yet effective:1. Crop and straighten the image on Affinity Photo.2. Use FLUX.1 Kontext for coloring and damage removal.3. Split the image in ComfyUI with overlapping (2 columns, 3 rows for this image).4. Upscale each part in ComfyUI using the same seed and low denoise for structural accuracy and higher resolution.5. Stitch the parts back together in ComfyUI.6. Subtle color correction on Affinity Photo.

While at Platzi, I had the opportunity to design their YouTube outro, helping improve the visual identity and user experience. This resulted in a retention and engagement increase of over 20%.

Other examples

For Platzi Conf Bogotá 2024, I had the honor of art directing a team of three talented designers (two visual designers and one motion designer). Together, we successfully developed dynamic and engaging visuals, covering three entire floors of the Ágora building in Bogotá, Colombia.The event welcomed over 6,000 attendees, who enjoyed the conferences and praised our visuals.

I recreated this loop from Apple’s WWDC25 landing page, exploring how variable fonts might have been used in the animation—something After Effects doesn’t support natively.Animating the ‘WW’ was tricky due to the merged letters. I first tried animating the W's anchor points but eventually opted for traditional path animation for smoother results.While not a perfect replica, this study captures the original motion’s essence. Shadows on “25” were done with Shadow Studio 3; everything else was animated in After Effects.

For these launch stories, I had the opportunity to integrate 3D, music and other eye-catching elements to showcase New Course and its teacher, creating a highly anticipated and FOMO-driven clickbait.

For this Instagram carousel, Apple Intelligence was the main focus. I was inspired by Apple’s bento box design and, to make it more appealing, I combined both video and images.

How to ask for a raise

To celebrate Platzi’s core values and culture, the design team created an NFT mural that blends all our styles into a unified masterpiece. The concept revolves around creativity, endless possibilities, and new ideas, designed to connect with Platzi’s community of learners in programming, science, arts, and more.The piece was divided into 10 fragments, with each design team member contributing in their style of choosing. I got to work on the fragment 5 "DNA key".

For the launch of Rewind 2024, I collaborated with the product design team to announce the feature and present it in an appealing way. This short motion piece strongly motivated the audience to use the feature and share their progress.

For a personal project, I had the opportunity to use DiffusionBee. This Mac app has a simple yet effective approach to open-source generative models. It’s not very flexible, but it was reliable enough for what I needed.
