It usually starts simple - sometimes just a clip, sometimes just an idea that feels worth trying. I drop it into the timeline without overthinking and let it build from there. Cuts change, timing shifts, sound comes in, things get removed, added back, and reshaped again. Most of it doesn't stay the way it started. Somewhere in that process, the edit begins to make sense on its own.
I'm Siva - a Video Editor who works across cinematic storytelling, branded content, and social-first video. Some edits stay minimal, some turn cinematic, some move faster - built around how they need to feel and where they need to land. I don't follow a fixed way for it. I stay with it until it feels right when it plays.
Currently looking for a full-time Video Editor role at an agency or digital-first creative team where that kind of thinking fits.
