Changes to Playbook's pricing plans

Effective March 3, 2026

We're making changes to our pricing plans so advanced workflows & AI-powered features are more accessible across all our plans.

Playbook has grown into a central space for individuals and teams rely on for day-to-day work, with more collaboration happening across organizations, and more automation and AI tools to speed up workflows. But our legacy pricing plans weren't designed for this shift.

To keep our offerings consistent and make sure we can keep improving the product without maintaining multiple plan systems in parallel, we're moving workspaces onto our new plans starting Tuesday, March 3, 2026.

What's changing in our plans

Team becomes Business

Team plan is being renamed to Business, built for growing teams that need more scale and custom support. Business still includes unlimited members, priority live chat support, white glove onboarding, custom development, SSO and API access.

New seat-based Team plan

We're introducing a new Team plan designed for smaller collaborative teams that want access to Playbook visual intelligence features without the higher touch services meant for larger orgs. It's priced at $25 per member, per month, and includes features like AI tagging for images and videos, GPT-powered search, enhanced video workflows, board rules.

Guest seats

Pro & Team (seat-based) plans will include 10 guest seats.
Additional guests will be $5/month per guest.

What this means for legacy plans

In most cases, you'll keep using Playbook the same way, but your workspace will be moved onto the updated plan structure:

  • If you're currently on Pro with 8+ guests, the current guests in your workspace will be preserved at no additional cost.
  • If you're currently on Team plan, your workspace will be moved to the Business plan at no extra cost.

Maintaining legacy plans adds complexity and make it harder to ship new features or improvements consistently. Moving workspaces onto the current plan structure keeps plans easier to understand and ensure improvements roll out cleanly going forward.

FAQ

Why can't I stay on my current plan?

We're moving all workspaces onto our new plan structure. Maintaining legacy adds complexity and limits our ability to ship new features consistently. We want Playbook's plans to reflect the product it has grown into today, and where it's going next.

Do I need to do anything?

No, your workspace will automatically move to the new plan structure at your next renewal after March 3, 2026.

How do I change my plan?

Go to your workspace's Settings → Billing and select the plan you'd like to move to. The change will take effect immediately and any remaining amount of your previous plan will be prorated into your new billing.

Will I loose any legacy benefits if I cancel?

Legacy benefits are preserved while your subscription stays active. If you cancel, you'll loose those benefits. If you re-subscribe later, you'll be moved to the current plan structure.

If you cancelled by mistake, reach out to support@playbook.com as soon as possible and we'll help.
