FAQs
If you're a student, educator, or part of an educational institution with a valid .edu email address, you're eligible. This includes undergraduate and graduate students, faculty members, teaching assistants, and staff at accredited educational institutions.
We verify your student status through your .edu email address during sign-up. When you create an account with your school email, our system automatically recognizes it against our list of verified schools and applies the promotion to your account; no need to upload transcripts or student IDs. Just sign up with your .edu email and you're all set! If your edu email is not getting recognized, your school might not be in our system yet. Please reach out to us at support@playbook.com to get it added.
You can keep your account forever, but the discount applies for 2 years (regardless if you've graduated before the 2 years are up) after which your Plan will transition to the standard Pro plan, which includes the same features at $12/month. All your existing files remain accessible and downloadable. We want to support your creative journey beyond graduation!
Yes! You can re-apply for the discount by reaching out to us at support@playbook.com and we'll revalidate your workspace student status.
Approved campus organizations can get Playbook Team workspaces for free as well as other perks of being part of our Student Org Program. Simply fill out the form here and we'll get back to you if your org is approved.
